Ubuntu >.<
So, my Vista client's boot manager and system recovery options decided to crash and become corrupt and yada yada so now I'm using Ubuntu until I can find out where my vista disc is. Well, that is unless I can figure out some way to get certain things to work with ubuntu like rappelz and vindictus and ffvii pc and tzar and vlc and and and... "sniff" I wish ubuntu wasn't so smooth and awesome looking, but dang I want to be able to use everything xD
Anyway I have my doubts I'll be on anything for a little while, don't look for me for I am a ninja >.>
All your base are belong to us, peace.

Alright through the coordinated efforts of me and my cousin (me stealing his windows 7 disc because I couldn't find my vista disc...heheh) I'm back up and running, gotta download a ton of updates on all of my stuff since my backup's a little outdated but I can live with that

Suck man. I would send you my illegal vista CDs but I doubt Customs would let them through.
What about switching to Win7?
Not gonna happen. Believe me, many have tried. Gameguard won't let itself be emulated.
Vindictus uses Hackshield, same problem as Gameguard -> no emulation.
Dunno these two =/
VLC has a linux client! Get the .deb package from the official website, or possibly from the standard repositories (use the package manager).
Noez, all YOUR base are belong to US.

haha, well apparently there's a way to get rappelz to work on ubuntu using wine but wine is pretty complex. The win7 cd worked so I'm good there ffvii pc and tzar didn't work because ubuntu doesn't work with .exe files :/
I did learn a bit about using command script thanks to ubuntu though, I hope it become more mainstream in the future because, imho ubuntu has massive potential and it's already better then win7 would be without the mainstream features. Mostly because ubuntu lacks a ton of the completely useless features that windows has.
the bittorrent that works with ubuntu is also pretty awesome >.> I'm gonna try dual booting later but last time I tried doing that, GRUB wouldn't work. I'm not entirely sure why this became a relevant issue at the time, but oh well.
